Eddie Maurice Schalski, 78, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born November 9, 1933 in Fort Smith, AR. to the late Maurice and Mona Schalski. He was preceded in death by two brothers Walter and Bobby Schalski and one sister Annie Combs. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Georgia of the home, three daughters Debbie Schalski of Fort Smith, AR., Sandra Lynn Jones and husband Roger of Greenwood, AR. and Karen Showen and husband Mike of Dallas, TX., one son Darrell Schalski and wife Teresa of Charleston, AR., one brother Jerry Schalski and wife Claunda of Jenny Lind, AR. Six grandchildren, Latishia, Roger Allan, Bryan, Justin, Brock and Chase, ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. with interment at Havana Cemetery in Havana, AR. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will be Bryan Schalski, Roger Allan Jones, Brock Jones, Justin McBride, Shane Hughes and Steven Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Showen, Gaige Schlaski, Malik Releford and Delaunte Hughes. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
